ABOUT US

The idea to start the station came about five years ago when the “Gaffer” Adi Hopper decided having dipped his toe in the water, so to speak, that maybe his version of what makes a superior Community Radio Station was more fulfilling, and along with Ian Perkins and Dave Prior the trio set about setting up Three Valleys Radio.

As with all Community Radio Stations, all presenters are volunteers and we were lucky to have attracted an excellent group of presenters to either commentate on the football or present our music shows.

But over time things change, and it soon became obvious that it was our sport content and commentaries that attracted the listeners.

Our music content, whilst attracting a small loyal listenership was up against such competition that the costs started to outweigh the benefits and difficult decisions had to be made.

So at the end of August 2024, after 5 years of broadcasting the decision was taken to switch to a Podcast based operation.

The football team would continue to commentate “Live” on all of Yeovil Town matches now via Green & White Radio, but still produce their twice weekly football podcast “Football…..Bloody Hell” which will continue to be found here on Three Valleys Podcasts web site.

Three Valleys Podcasts will carry all our podcasts on our Podcast section whilst Adi Hopper will continue to control the Podcast operation allowing a wider audience of sports fans to catch up with the latest sports news and controversies on Three Valleys Podcasts.
