Top flat racing jockeys Dane O’Neill and Darryll Holland, have joined the Three Valleys Racing Show.
Holland, who rode for top trainers Luca Cumani, Geoff Wragg and Mark Johnston claimed victory in numerous top races including the Yorkshire Oaks, The Dewhurst Stakes, St James Palace Stakes, Eclipse Stakes, Coronation Cup and the July Cup but at the age of 51 has decided to hang up his boots for a switch to training at his Newmarket stables Harraton Court Stables where he hopes to emulate his previous employers.
Darryll will be a weekly guest on The Racing Show when training commitments permit and we hope his eye for a good horse will help our listeners to find plenty of winners.
Dane O’Neill’s racing career was finally cut short this month, when on the advice of top doctors, he decided injuries sustained in a fall at Wolverhampton were too much to overcome.

Dane O’Neill
As yet Dane has not decided where his racing career will take him but with over 1700 winners to his name and a retainer to Sheik Hamdan Al Maktoum his experience and knowledge cannot be questioned.
Once again we at Three Valleys Radio are delighted to have Dane’s knowledge of the flat racing world at our disposal and subject to availability Dane will have a spot each week on the Racing Show.

Darryll Holland
Darryll and Dane will join our existing team of experts including Jamie Snowden, Colin Brown, Rod Millman, Richard Phillips and Sporting Life Journalist and race commentator Simon Holt.
The Racing Show can be heard at 20.15 pm every Friday on Three Valleys Radio and also in our Podcast section.
