Three Valleys Radio’s In Conversation has come up with another exclusive as adi Hopper chats to renowned horse racing presenter Derek “Thommo” Thompson.
In the programme Thommo tells us of the amazing story of his involvement in the attempted rescue of Wonder horse Shergar who was kidnapped by the IRA during the Northern Irish troubles.
A mysterious phone call requested Thommo, a journalist from the Sun and Lord Oaksey travel to Northern Ireland to cat as middle men as the hunt for the horse was at it’s peak. Sadly Sherger died during his captivity and was never found.
The interview can be found in our Podcast section on our web site www.threevalleyspodcasts.com
